One of many television commercials we've produced over 10 years of service to our client Corning Museum of Glass, this 30-second spot helped to introduce the museum's new, $64 million, 100,000-square-foot Contemporary Art + Design Wing. (With a footprint of 26,000-square-foot, this contemporary art gallery building is the largest space anywhere dedicated to the presentation of contemporary glass art!) SMS also supports CMOG with research, market planning/consulting, and other projects as assigned. (Additional examples of our TV for CMOG may be viewed on the SMS YouTube channel.)

SMS was proud to contribute, on a pro bono basis, to the rebranding of the Community & Family Services Association of New York State (CFSANYS). A state-wide association of agency executives, CFSANYS works with non-profit agencies in New York State to advocate for the needs of children and families through the implementation of programs and services. The rebranding program that SMS completed for the association included design of a new logo and development of brochure and website.

This whimsical and cost-efficient 30-second TV spot (shown at right) brought the Rockwell Museum’s world-class collection of American western art to life - and, more importantly, it increased visitor traffic and attendance measurably during the campaign's media run. SMS also provides the Rockwell Museum with print and online advertising, media strategy/placements, collateral support, and other services when required.

Ithaca's Community Arts Partnership turned to SMS to launch and promote its first centralized, online "arts calendar" - ithacaevents.com. Featuring the latest events and activities featured at dozens of theaters, stages, clubs, and other venues and assets in culturally vibrant Tompkins County, the calendar was promoted via outdoor billboards, print advertising, radio commercials - achieving excellent unique and repeat visitor traffic on the website at the time. (Note: recently the calendar was folded into a broader community events portal hosted by Gannett Company).

With SMS's help on a pro-bono basis, membership in the Tompkins County, NY Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) increased beyond expectations when pet lovers were targeted with a series of mailers that included lots of fun facts about animals and their families. (An important side note: This SPCA was the nation's first to adopt a 'no kill' policy...so, kudos to them for that!)

SMS was enlisted by the Finger Lakes Wine Country, a multi-county coalition of travel/tourism agencies, to promote our region's wine industry. The effort helped attract thousands of tourists and business travelers to the region - and consisted of multiple elements, including a scenic travel guide, venue displays, response to inquiries and online downloads, and print ads that told "travel stories” and sight-seeing snapshots in a journal style to engage potential travel destination visitors.
